  1. You never to old to fight in amatuer fights you can fight up until 34 and then there is also senior tournaments. There is a guy at my gym hes 59 and he dosnt have much experience. He spars with everyone and his fighting in a senior tournament in August.

  2. They are never too old to get killed in the ring. (smile)

  3. To kill him it would only take one punch

  4. to take up boxing = no

    to compete = yes

I've seen guys of 40, 45, and one 50+ start boxing. Usually to get back into shape.

I'm 39 now, and I stopped competing 5 years ago. My stamina is great, but you lose speed and agility with age. That becomes too much a factor in this sport; your hand eye coordination and explosiveness deteriorates as you get older. You can only use your experience and ring smarts that much before you eat a punch too many ;-)

But if to do recreational, including sparring (after 6 month or a year of drills) = never too old.

  5. yeah.. 90+ person can barely move..

  6. Why?

  7. not really it depends what you got to bring into the ring..but you might have to play catch up
