  1. You need to go to the Library, or go on line to Sylvia Browne's website, and start reading.  Of course there is more to us than the physical body.  The body is the vessel to carry our spirits and our souls through this life.  It is our tool, that encases our brain, which is to absorb the knowledge, the experiences, the love and the lessons we are here to learn.  When we go Home, we take all of this with us, the knowledge, the love, the exeriences, etc., and if you analyze those words, you will realize that they are all of them, non-material things.  These are what we are here for, to experience life, using this body, as a vessel to get through this life, so that we can learn all we can in this life, to teach others in this life what we know, so that they may benefit from our knowledge (sort of like a big cooking pot, where everything goes in but the kitchen sink) and when we're all done processing what we have gotten from this life, we take it all "Home"  and share it with those at "Home." Basically, we are here on this Planet, for the "Experience of it all."  So go enjoy it whileyou have it, and take what you have "Home" with you, because only the bravest of the brave come to Earth for the experience, and then you can go "Home" and brag to those you left behind at our Real Home, that you just succeeded at one of the hardest lessons you have ever undertaken.   Do your best at accomplishing what you can in this life, help others, don't hurt anyone or anything, animals, or the Earth, because on the way Home, you are going to be watching your life all over again, in fast speed, just like watching a Panorama Movie, only it will be "The Story of Your Life."  And be careful what you think, because you may have an audience, and not even know it!  Good Luck....Iylena

  2. Yes it is more than the physical body.. Read Deepak

Chopra .. Go to Barnes and Noble and they have lots

of books explaining these things. and you can sit and read

their books for free until you find one you want.

also Neale Walsh has books on the same thing..

many do.. You have to read  because there is alot of

thought that goes into what you are reading..

  3. To avoid spirituality...

I believe the mind is kind of a symbiotic entity. Not that a parasite resides in our head, but that "I" am not necessarily this "body."

The mind seems to be electricity, neural connections- it's the brain. Thought evolved along with planning, I think... the prefrontal lobe is a fairly recent addition to the brain and marked an upswing in evolution.

So I guess I think thought is an evolutionary trait granted to humans to give us an edge... a cat can hunt because it is hungry, but it isn't going to store up enough dead mice to get it through the day so it can concentrate on something more important.

  4. A physical body is nothing more than a visual manifestation.  The mind reflects the soul and thought is the conscious passage of the soul, and 'words are the skin of conscious thought' (Oliver Wendall Holmes).

  5. Refer this website. It is all about buddhism and meditation.
