Is a person who starts a magazine and owns it called the publisher, editor in cheif, or something else?....?

If you own it your the PUBLISHER any else is step down. You can be the Editor in chief if you want too.

Also if you look inside any magazine it will tell you whos who.

It usually have a break down like this:

Editor In Chief

Creative Director

Editorial

Arts and Photo

Ccopy and Research

Production

etc......Depending on the needs of the magazine.
