  1. No. Piano music is played at the same pitch as it is written.

    A standard guitar is a transposing instrument, as the music sounds an octave lower than it is written. Descant and sopranino recorders play an octave higher than the music is written.

    There is a long list of transposing instruments starting about 2/3 of the way down this Wikipedia page:

    For most of them the transposition is more complex than changing the octave.
