  1. up too 32 inch l.c.d  all the way !!!!!!after that plasma    rocks

  2. they can be only if you get the extended life on them and a good warranty the life expectancy is very short

  3. yes. Because with a plasma tv, from any angle, range, it looks crystal clear. You can stick your face right up to a plasma tv and it still looks clear.

  4. Plasmas do not use a bulb as was insinuated above.  They have an expected time to half brightness of 60,000 hours of use.  That means that at 8 hours a day, it would be more than 20 years before that happened.  I personally prefer plasma to LCD for picture quality.  LCD's have issues with motion blurring during fast movement.  Plasmas have issues with image retention (not burn-in) which is temporary.  My latest plasma which is now 2 1/2 years old is a pioneer 6070.  It has almost no image retention, and if it does get some, it disappears in seconds of viewing full screen images.  My advice is go and see what you think looks better in the store.  Buy a good brand with good reviews and you'll be happy.  Also, equally sized LCD's use the same electricity as a similar sized plasma.

  5. maybe?...but apparantly they use MORE electricity!...

  6. yea but plasmas have alot of problems with them lcd tv doesnt use a bulb so thats why plasmas burn out faster

  7. Basically, the pros will tell you that Plasma's are better, just a richer and more vibrant picture. That may be true but the difference is minimal and price is a more important issue than the SLIGHT difference in quality. However, one issues that plagues LCD tvs is motion blur. There is technology out there which is already available in the higher end models that eliminates this problem. So basically the two technologies are just about even, the only other thing to consider is that Plasma TVs do emit a humming sound. It also comes down to the size of the screen, certain technologies perform better or worse at certain sizes. If you ask me look for full HD, a VERY high contrast ratio, and the cheapest price.

  8. Depends on your viewing needs. Brief summary. Less than 37" go for LCD, more than 37" then Plasma better. If you are wanting to watch HD then be careful with certain plasmas as their tv resolution is only 1024x768. This type of tv is fine if you are only going to be watching normal SD content on it. Plus the contrast ratio and colour on plasmas are better.
