Is a prepaid cell phone good??

It depends on how frequently you plan on making calls. I got rid of my home phone and I have a contract with Tmobile which works great for me. You can get the number of minutes you like and can always change them. I feel a contract plan with one of the major carriers is best.

A prepaid does not give free nights and weekends like the contract plans do. Big plus!!

Prepaid generally works out better (cheaper) if you only use your phone occasionally.
