Is a private dentist a bad idea

As they will always 'Find' something to do even if it is not needed so ruining your teeth long term.

The same seems to go for NHS dentists as well. At the time there was no charge for a check up I had a dental student check and clean my teeth before a visit so no work was needed. My dentist insisted on giving them a 'Polish' which was nothing simply so he could make a charge

I now have a good dentist in a run down surgery in a council estate and he does not make excessive charges. You should avoid any dentist or optician with a fancy showroom as it shows their main interest is extracting as much money as they can from their patients

  1. No its a good idea if you have good teeth but my advice would be to take out a dental plan insurance it will be cheaper in the long run even you you do not use it at once you will find that nhs and private dental care will cost you money if you are working also there are not many nhs practices left these days unless you are already with one.

  2. Yes they make extractions from your wallet
