We have a private investigator watching my fiance because hes on workers comp. The investigator sits at our apartments and watches me and my daughter all day when my fiance isn't even home! It really creeps me out and makes me concerned for mine and my daughters safety. Just because hes a PI doesn't mean hes a good person. Are we allowed to report him for loitering? We have private property signs at our apartment community.

  1. Most people on worker's comp aren't followed around by private investigators. There must be some suspicion of fraud. It's very costly to hire a PI. The insurance company must suspect something. PI's are licensed by the state, and are usually allowed to investigate as they deem necessary. The apartment complex manager can ask him to leave, but you can not.

  2. You can try.  Doing surveillance is not loitering.  Someone must think your fiance's claim is suspicious or the PI would not be there.

  3. Call the police and tell them  that a creepy guy has been watching you and your daughter and you are concerned.Let the police handle it if he is loitering, show them the signs at your apt.

  4. just call the cops and tell them someone is stalking you and you're scared
