I thought a jobby is something undefined... ie I couldn't find the .... er... you know, the jobby.... a word you dont remember or whatever, thats how people ive known have used it anyway. South UK.

the basic word is "job", as in "big jobs" - and it does mean a p**p, yes. A "jobbie" is a little job. It is Scots in origin and refers to the amount of effort put in, the same way some areas in the south refer to "business".
