Is a racket with an oversized head for beginners? ?

I've been playing on my high school team for three years now. is it time to upgrade?

  1. An over sized head is not necessarily for beginners but you should make a transition to a smaller head.Over sized head is more for recreational players,who keep long rallies and just play for fun,sort of way. Making a switch to a smaller head size would cause you to have more spin on your shots,more accuracy,more power and more control. Before you go out and buy a raquet,if you do,be sure to demo a few and see which ones suit your style the best.


  2. if you are comfortable with your racket, you don't need to.  no one is forcing you to change.  but i think that to use a racket with a smaller head, you need more control.  so yes, in a way, rackets with over-sized heads suit beginners better.

  3. I don't recommend oversize rackets at all. I started playing with a 95 inch racket. You should make a switch especially when it's a light, head-heavy racket.
