Is a radio and a deck the same thing?

i was looking at a car on craigslist and it said i has no radio.. does that mean the deck? or are the radio and the deck completely separate things?

Typically a radio picks up radio stations, a deck is usually a tape deck for cassette tapes.

a lot of ppl call radio different, like: deck, stereo, headunit, etc. it's all the same thing.

head unit = car radio = car stereo = deck  so yea a radio in a car has a lot of synonyms
