Is a rat or ferret more smart?

ok ferrets r expensive and rats aren't as expensiveness but ferrets r only smart if they want something rats tho r smart but don't look it i surprisingly trained my rat a little the trick with training rats is food and ferret r pretty destructive and r like having a a small furry two year old in the house but they have there moments and it is hard to train if u don't have methods

Ferrets are way more intellagent. You have to train them though they are like a cat, they will use a litter box if trained to and if you end up getting one you have to spend a lot of time with it because they have sharp teeth and if you do not look after it, it will become wild and bite.

You would need to clean its cage a lot because they smell real bad.

They are also known to steal things and hide them so they are cheeky. I am not to sure how much they cost though.

I might be wrong but i think a ferret is more intellagent then a rat.
