  1. Recessive traits are more likely to be bad simply because most recessive alleles are non-functional.  In fact this is one of the rare cases when simple Mendelian genetics is correct.

Bad: Hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, SDS, PKU

    Neutral: Type O blood

  2. Well it depends.  A recessive trait could be colourblindness, which in that case would be bad, but it could also be blue eyes, which are nice and not bad at all.  I think you are asking in general, and the answer is generally no.  A recessive trait is simply something that is recessive - it will not appear often

  3. A recessive trait just isn't a dominant trait.  This only means that if it's not paired up with another recessive train, it wont get it's chance to function.

The order of operations however, isn't relative to whether it's good or bad.  Good trait or bad trait is a matter of natural selection.

  4. Not necessarily, because it depends on what traits you are talking about.  For example, these are some recessive traits: having no dimples, attached earlobes, having no freckles.  Those recessive traits are not "bad" at all.  However, a recessive trait that may be "bad" is having sickle cell anemia.

  5. A recessive trait isn't always a bad trait. There are many recessive traits that have no harmful side effects, such as blonde hair color or blue eye color. I guess it would be a matter of opinion if you consider blonde hair or blue eyes bad traits.
