  1. Direct Domocracy is 3 wolves and a sheep deciding whats for dinner.

Constitutional Republic For The Win. Something to protect the minorities from the majority. Cause a constitution is a whole lot cleaner the civil war.

  2. I would say so, because it is difficult to obtain votes from citizens for every little issue in a large country.

  3. In a direct democracy.....everybody votes on everything...cumbersome.......a representative democracy lets elected representatives carry on the business of the people.

  4. Well the size and depth of our country make a direct democracy impossible.  I mean how many people would actually have the time to go to Washington to represent themselves.  It would be chaos.  If our country was many times smaller and not 300 million people it might work.  However, in our case a representative democracy is much better.

  5. Direct Democracy works best with a small population where citizens can meet regularly to discuss and decide the key issues and problems.  A New England town meeting might be one of the last examples of Direct Democracy in action. In a nation like the US, representatives must be given the power to run the day-to-day activities of the government and enact necessary legislation.

  6. Maybe voting in November  will prove a point.
