Is a rifle club a good place to mingle and meet a potential boyfriend?

Im in Australia and I am going to join a club because I love the sport, but are these places generally good to meet guys? Do guys go there to meet gals as well?

Well, they may not be there to meet women, but they will certainly take notice of a young woman there, by herself, shooting. This is like finding a bar of solid gold inside one's boot. Sure, I wasn't looking for it, but the fact that it's there just made my whole year!

If I had met my wife at a shooting range, we would have been married the next day, instead of seven years later. A woman who likes guns? Yeah, you bet "I do." :)

I'd say it was a pretty good place to find someone who shares your interests.  Sure beats the heck out of looking for a boyfriend in a bar.

If you really enjoy the sport, it is a great place. Just don't go to meet some one who is "outdoorsy" then get upset because he spends a lot of time doing the very thing he was doing when you met him.

We always welcome gals at my range - let them shoot our ammo too!

I shoot at a club. I NEVER looked for a "gal" there or any range I've visited. My girlfriend is a competitive shooter, better than me. Met her through a friend of a friend. Our lives certainly crossed paths in the past, but neither of us can remember each other.

Any woman that would "come on" to me at a gun club is too creepy in my book!

Sure, two provisos:  One, you really like the sport.  Two, make sure your potential gentleman friend is available, that way you avoid heartbreak.  Honestly, guys go to gun clubs for camaraderie and fellow ship but finding a girlfriend can be an unexpected and wonderful surprise.

Guys do not go to shooting clubs to meet gals, - but - meeting a woman at a club is a good thing!  LOL.
