Is a road saddle ok for a mountain bike? and would it fit?

Im looking at a Specialized saddle but i think its for a road bike cause it came off a tarmac but i like the looks and how lite it is.

yes, it will work.  i actually have the same set up. the toupe is the best saddle i have ever owned next to the selle success kevlar

Yes you most certainly can use any saddle on MTB or road. The toupe is one SWEET saddle. The only problem with it is it cost $$$. I use road saddles on my MTB as well.

Sounds like you like good stuff (thompson post...), I'd use it if I were you. Just make sure it works for you. A sweet looking saddle doesn't mean anything if it bites you in the azz.
