Is a ruffle potatoe chip not good for a baby parakeet to be laying on?

This baby parakeet was born today in a wooden log and in the log is a ruffle potatoe chip and the bird is laying on it. Is the salt bad for their naked body? The bird is red and not translucent and I am concerned.

um..i dont even wanna know what that was doing in there!!yes, genius take the chip out.-unless there is a specific reason for the chip in there?you sound like you would rather leave it there...

take it out, and the baby parrot could bite it and consume, and since birds dont have teeths, he could choke.

I can't imagine that it would be a good thing for a bird to be laying on, esp. not a younger bird. You may want to take the bird to a vet if the symptoms worsen even further.
