  1. more upright clubs would suit a taller player, the flatter clubs would suit a shorter player as it would mean that you could have you hands hang straight down as opposed to making allowances for the club.

  2. taller player. also depends on your wrist to floor length.

  3. The fitting will be based more on your swing than your height or build.  I am average height but use 4 degree upright.  Spend 10 minutes letting someone fit you properly.

  4. In generalities, shorter players need flatter lie angles but it's not a given. Everyone is different. Taller players usually appreciate the more upright lie angles.

  5. don't buy clubs from Ebay. If you're interested in ones that will help your game, go get fitted and buy the clubs where you're fitted.

  6. it really depends on your swing. you can get them bent to whatever  fits your swing. just go get fitted for clubs and they'll tell  if you need 1-2* standard or whatever they shouldn't charge more than 50 us $ too bend them. so if you get a good enough deal on ebay then it shouldn't matter, do you hook or slice? i think 1* upright will straiten up a slice,i think

  7. I assume you are talking about lie angle. A lie angle that is 1 degree upright will tend to suit a taller player. A flatter lie angle tends to suit shorter players better. It depends on your swing, though. The lie angle needs to fit your impact characteristics. Luke Donald is a shorter (Height) player, but his irons are 1 degree upright because that is what fits his swing.

Even if the clubs on Ebay are 1 degree upright, you could probably get a golf shop to bend them back to standard or to your specifications.

  8. It depends on your swing.  You want the lie set where the sole of the club is flat on the ground.  If its a good enough deal do like someone else said and take it to a fitter and have them adjust the angle.  Club length is more dependant on height and wrist-to-floor measurement than lie angle is.
