Is a siemens 6250 wireless gateway compatabible with nintendo wii's wi-fi ability?

I live in Canada and all internet providers given on the Nintendo homepage for compatible wireless internet are only American and i was wondering is there like a page that said if it is compatible with internet providers like aliant or sympatico

Also the wireless gateway was given to us by our internet provider....i think it is sympatico

I've heard that if your router was provided by your ISP then it won't work but you can check by going to www.nintendowifi.com or get in touch with Nintendo.
