I get fixated on an awful event for weeks and as a result i get this never ending pain. After a while it is worn off automatically.

  1. i don't think so.  Its more like major mood swings going from happy to crazy in nothing flat then back to happy just as fast

  2. Doesn't sound like Bipolar disorder. Maybe a sensory disorder. Bipolar means you can have really high highs, then really low lowes. Mania, etc.

  3. I am bipolar.  The  symptom that you describe doesn't sound like anything that I have experience because of being bipolar.  I have experienced a similar feeling, though, when I get obsessive.

The best thing to do is to avoid self-diagnosis or one that you may get over the internet.  This can only be done by a trained professional who can evaluate you personally and up front.

It is good that you are aware that something may be wrong and that you are trying to do something about it.  I ignored my symptoms or was in denial of any problem.  My condition just got worse.  It came to a point that counseling only wouldn't work.  I am now on medication and counseling.

Also, my deep and abiding faith in God has helped me get over the top.  Especially with my obsessive thinking.  My counselor has given me this tool:  A person cannot doing anything about the past.  This is "If Only Land".  A person cannot doing anything about the future by obsessing over it.  This is "What If Land."  A person can only have control over the "Now".  She says that God is with a person in the "Now" and will be there for that person.

You may not be a religious person.  I am telling you about  my relationship with God because this has really worked for me well.

At least seek professional diagnosis and help.  You may have a minor problem that can be dealt with and done away with easily now.  Don't do like I did.  I lost out on a lot of the happiness that life had for me.  I am on the road to recovery and am looking forward to the rest of  my life.

God bless.  Go with the grace of God.

  4. I pretty sure your not. When you are Bipolar, you are really happy and nice, then the next day your like I hate the world.

I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure your aren't.
