Is a skatepark a good place for a beginner to learn tricks? What should I know about skating at a skatepark?

Im a beginner at skateboarding and I wanted to know if iskateparks are a good place for me to learn tricks and if that's a good place to start after learning how to balance? And what should I know about skating in a skatepark?

Naa learn in your driveway till you can ollie and manual and do the basics, unless you go to the park with a few friends, otherwize people are gonna laugh at you.

I would say no unless your the only person in the skate park (which is highly unlikely)  Not only will you not be able to do anything at the park, you may be in people's way and there might be problems with collisions.  I suggest a nice, flat parking lot or driveway.  Although, there are people at the skate park that can help; it is probably better if you learned where you can fall without anyone laughing.  

But if you do decide to go in the skatepark, remember skatepark ettiquette and don't get in people's way, or sit in places where people are skating
