Basically, could one produce electricity by burning sawdust or wood pellets? I am aware of the extreme danger and high maintenance of boilers and turbines, but all we're talking about here would be in the order of 100 watts or less of electrical generation. Quite small.

Is there an efficient way of producing small amounts of electricity by burning sawdust or wood pellets, etc.?

And, if so, what would be a feasible minimum "wattage size" ?

  1. We can supply you a steam turbine generator(STG) as small as 1KW using just 15Kgs of steam at 10 bar(150 psig)/200C. The cost of 1-5KW STg unit is just US$5000 delivered by sea freight to the nearest international seaport.

Unfortuately we dont make small boilers and you will have to arrange it locally. The smallest we make is 300 Kgs/hour which can power 25KW STG unit.
