Is a spider that is black with a white dot on its back toxic.?

No. The only spiders in the US that are even remotely dangerous are the brown recluse and the black widow, which aren't even as dangerous as their reputations make them seem most of the time.

Its a harmless jumping spider. They like to walk on the ceiling.
