  1. Boy Oh Boy

Well in my eyes a stud is for young horses

Like ""HERE IS MY STUD COLT

OR THATS THE STUD COLT BY SO and SO !!!!

A stallion is a older horseused for breeding

    When you see adverts,

They say see our list of STALLIONS

NOT to many use the word stud  See a list of our Stud s

Now they do say STUD FEE?

bUT THEY SAY SEE our STALLIONS FOR STUD ?

so I say stud is for a younger horse

a stallion is 5 yrs old or older,,,,and is either used for breeding or not """"""But at the same token he is still  a stallion

  2. yes

  3. both are compliments to a guy, so i would assume yes

  4. pretty much

  5. A stallion and a stud are pretty much the same thing. They are both uncasterated males. However the term stud is most commonly heard with male horse used for breeding. (ex. you hear the term "Stud Fee")

  6. well yes and No

A stud can be referred to as a uncut male horse of any age

A stallion is referred to as it is used for breeding

    Really all answers are right

    But as a horse person

I would say what I just did!!!

  7. Yes, they're the same, but I think the term "stud" is usually used only if the animal is being used for breeding. In other words, a stud is a stallion, but a stallion isn't necessarily a stud.

  8. in terms of 21st century lingo- yes

  9. A Stallion is a breed of horse while a stud is just another name for a male horse?  Male horses sell their DNA (sperm) to breeders in hope of producing another fine specimen . When a horse provides it DNA its called a Stud fee.

  10. basically

  11. Not really a stud is a stallion but it is put up for sale breeding wise. You have to pay to breed a mare with him. Like Big Browns breeding rights were sold and now people pay to have a mare breed with him for like $100,000!!!! but a stallion is a male horse but it has to be a Senior stallion to breed. and a Senior stallion is mature enough to breed successfully.

  12. yes.both are not sterilized, but generally a stud has been retired to breeding.
