  1. No.

  2. It is in the UK. I don't know about other countries.

  3. As the poster above stated, teaching certificates are generally for elementary, middle and high schools.

Colleges (even community and junior colleges) usually require some sort of advanced degree - either a masters or doctorate.

The higher the degree the higher they pay.

  4. For college or university level, a certificate is not required. Community colleges are always hiring adjunct instructors for a variety of disciplines. Of course there are certain standards for education, and it appears you have that. Best of luck in pursuing your teaching goal.

  5. Yes, you need a state certificate to teach at any level.

  6. If you are in the US, all most of them will require is a Master's degree for a course which will transfer to a four-year university.  If you are teaching in a certificate only or continuing ed class, you usually just need a bachelor's and some experience in the field you want to teach.

  7. As far as I know it can be done with just a Bachelors Degree in CA.

  8. In California you can do part time teaching at the community colleges with just a bachelors degree.

  9. No. Teaching certificates are for High school and Grade school. I know I have taught at a Community College.

  10. If they insist that you have is a certificate, all that is required to get one is to take the Certification test in the subject area you will teach.  Contact your state board of education to locate testing sites and dates and to register for the test or tests.  There is a fee.

Once the test is passed, you submit your transcripts, proof you passed the test and another fee to obtain your certification.
