Is a tippmann 98 a good paintball gun? and is tippmann or spyder better?

In this situation, the Tippmann 98 is going to be a better constructed marker.  I have Tippmann's and Spyders and find my Spyders to be just as reliable as the Tippmanns, just not as durable.  But why settle for the 98, spend a little more and get the A5 which has the cyclone feed.  If you buy a nice hopper with your 98, you will be at the price of on A5.

great guns, never break, easy to maintain and very upgradeable. Tippmann is much better, spyders break easy and are cheaply made, The only thing i use mine for is a gun i can test stuff out on, i cut off all the extra metal, and completely stripped it and i can see how poorly its made.

its a great paintball marker. & tippman is better is better than spyder but spyder is a close second

Tippmann 98's r a very good gun, it like the Ak-47 of paintball, low maintaines, realible, and a good starter gun.  spyders suck big ball never buy a spyder!!!
