What will you do? Two hour commute to your college (add the weather and bumpy roads) or an apartment?

  1. Depends on what you drive...

    2 Hours = 110 miles each way

    110 x 2 = 220

    220/22 miles per gallon=10 gallons

    10 x 4 per gallon= $40 a day

    $40 x 5 days of class = $200 a week

    $200 x 4 weeks a month = $800

    $800 + you current rent = ?????

Also think about wear and tear on your car.

Do you really like where you live now?

    I hate moving.

How long will this be for?

    Wasted time driving.

  2. An apartment.

It's more fun to live on or near campus anyway.  Commuters usually become social outcasts and have difficulty getting involved with activities.

  3. Maybe ten years ago i would say go with it, but now with gas $4+ a gallon, i dont think it would be worth it.

It could work out to be the same though as far as gas and rent, so it is really your choice. I would go for an apartment though becasue it seems to fit college life better.

  4. You will make new friends when school starts. Get one of them to push you back and forth in a wheelbarrow.
