  1. a 2yr old is a toddler. An baby is newborn to 6months. 7months to 12months infant. 13months to 4 or 5yrs toddler. It all has to do with motor skills. How they came up with this scale I don't know but it is also the way you buy a child's clothes.

  2. I think of them as babies until they begin to walk (or "toddle")- then they are a toddler!

But really, there really is no one defining age to say a child is officially a toddler. Generally, under 12 months = baby or infant (both mean the same thing such as kid or child). Over 12 months = toddler. They are usually mobile and beginning to say some words.

  3. He is a toddler!

An infant is a newborn from ages to 1 month to twelve months, a baby is a one year old, a toddler is a kid ranging from two to four years old!

  4. All those answers are correct, but it also depends on perspective...my thirteen year old (just like my 7 and 3 year olds) will always be my "baby"...

  5. An infant would be from newborn to 9 months and from 9 months to 18 months is considered a baby and from 18 months until 24 months is a toddler.  (At least that's how their clothes are sold LOL)

  6. Usually, a child would be considered a toddler at the age of two. But, it isn't really written in stone by age.

Baby/Infant refers to a child who cannot do anything for himself.

Toddler refers to a child who is more mobile, can communicate basic needs and can perform some personal tasks for himself.

A child becomes a preschooler when he is potty-trained and starting to learn and communicate basic educational concepts.

  7. baby will always be for us parents. baby is cosider 5 mths -1 yr. toddler 2-3. preschool 4-5 big boy 6 and so

  8. A TODDLER.  A BABY CANOT SAY WHAT HE NEEDS CANNOT EAT SOLIDS AND DRINKS FROM A BOTTLE. A TODDER ASKS FOR THINGS, WALKS AND EATS AT THE TABLE WITH EVERYONE ELSE.

  9. i call a 2 yr old a pre toddler

  10. Toddler.

  11. toddler

  12. A two year old is called a toddler.  The difference is developmental of the motor skills, there are milestones tha are typically reached by a certain age (1-3 mos, 3-6 mos, 6-9 mos..etc...)....I believe the term toddler refers to how when they are learning how to walk ...they tend to "toddle" around
