Trying to settle a dispute. Looking for the world's largest living carnivore. Little help? Preferably backed up with a little factual evidence?

  1. Yes they are carnivores.

  2. Well, the largest animals are baleen whales, like the blue whale, which eat plankton and krill. The largest carnivorous whale I can think of is the sperm whale, which eat squid, fish, etc.

  3. yes

  4. Yes.  While the largest whales aren't really predators the way killer whales are, they primarily subsist off of small crustaceans (like krill) and fish that are caught when they feed by gulping and then straining the water out through their baleen.
