Is a wolverine dangerous?

Question

I live in Lake Tahoe, CA. Recently, local news stated that the population is on the rise. I'd just like to know how dangerous they are in case I bump into one.

Wise question.  Wolverine's are possibly the most recalcetrant and vicious of the weasel family and possibly the largest.  They have been known to fight and stand of bears and cougars, they have no fear and everything is their enemy except the opposite gender in mating season.

They are extremely strong and good fighters ... even a grizzly will avoid a wolverine.  If you threaten one, by somehow trapping it, you will end up dead or seriously wounded.

However, they are also extremely wary, and your chances of seeing one, or even seeing the tracks, are slim.

Seriously all joking aside any wild animal is dangerous. Even a squirrel. I highly doubt a wolverine would stalk and attack a human as prey, butj just as with any wild animal- if injured or cornered they will protect themselves and attack.

A wolverine is the largest member of the weasel family. It is known for its strength and aggressive nature with its prey, but also how wary it is. It is extremely timid towards humans and will avoid them at all costs. If cornered however, they will feel scared and attack, human or not. The wolverine lives in colder climate forests of North America. They will take down deer, rodents, birds, and snakes. They are very persistent and stubborn, have incredibly sharp teeth, a thick coat, and are very, very fast and strong. They are a beautiful animal really, don't  think they are bad. Look them up, find out more. Someday they might even become your favorite animal.

You dont want to bump into one...it'll be your last bump. A wolverine is extremely territorial and will attack anything on their turf. they are the largest member of the weasel family and can be extremely dangerous.
