  1. head 4 the border

  2. Two totally different things.

Visa (in the context of immigration or moving to the country) = A permit that gives you the ability to visit or work in a country)

Visa (credit card) = a brand name, to invoke a sense that the credit card permits you to get stuff you wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.

  3. Goodness..no way...they are 2 totally different things.

A travel visa is granted to an applicant seeking to enter a foreign country for work purposes. As a Canadian wishing to work in the US you shouldn't have as much difficulty as others but you will still need a prospective employer to do some legwork on your behalf. Either you need to have skills so specialized that it cannot be found in an existing citizen or an existing citzen has not taken up the job offer which must be advertised for a prescribed number of weeks/months.

You need to get in touch with a particular employer who'll do a work visa application for you.

A visa credit card is just that.....a credit card. You buy stuff with it or can use it for security authorization ie) car rental, hotel reservation.
