  1. I would say it's the same.

  2. I agree with Pathogen that they are the same also no matter what you call it.

  3. Its different, simply because it is one BIG philosophy that applies to everything. Philosphy changes for different occations.

Technically its the same thing but it doesn't change for anything.

  4. They're different. Existentialism is a philosophy but it isn't a world view. There are Seven world views:

    (1) Atheism

    (2) Theism

    (3) Deism

    (4) Pantheism

    (5) Panentheism

    (6) Finite godism

    (7) Polytheism

Every philosophical outlook can be found in one of these world views; however, while we may find existentialism in Atheism we also find it in Theism, Deism, Pantheism, etc. While we find the philosophy of secular humanism in Atheism we can also find elements of it in Pantheistic Eastern Religions such as Buddhism and Taoism. For this reason, then, they cannot be the same thing, since many of the same philosophies are found under many conflicting world views. Again, like Secular Humanism is advocated by Atheism but it can also be found in Liberation Theology which would fall under a Theism since it believes in a personal Creator who interacts with his creation. Yet, Not much can be conflicting as Theism and Atheism. However, I will stress once more that while there basic founding principle differs they may still use the same core philosophies to live by. These philosophies then are used as means to living out their personal convictions; however, their ends differ vastly.
