  1. Dont know how old you are but you should be alright, a yz125 is heaps of power and i mean heaps, as a beginner the power will sure kill you though if you dont take it easy.

People on here will say no they are weak get a bigger engine but as a beginner yz125 is more than enuf. Theres no reason to get a 4 stroke unless its only trail and enduro riding you do. Even with trail riding powerband gives you that extra edge.

You never mentioned your age or if you have previous riding experience though

just take it slow at first. If you know someone that can you can even have the carbi tuned so powerband kicks in toward the end of the throttle so you dont need to worry bout it taking you by surprise. Remember sit toward the front of the seat

    gd luck

  2. No way! You'd be quite comfortable on it actually, and 125 cc's is almost no power - just barely enough to make it through the dirt!

  3. no. it should be fine as long as you are strong enough to handle the power

  4. if you're wanting to get into motocross, its the perfect starter bike for someone your height.  just take it easy until you get a good feel for the powerband.

  5. no the bike is not, but your skill level might be a problem, as a first bike i would get a four stroke ttr 200 or something along that line or and xr 230, go to a cycle shop and just ask the salesman what type of bike is best for a begginner rider. if he is good he will tell you all you need to know, and after he tells you go out and find a used bike and have fun until you gain some experience and then step up to a bigger bike. I know from experience what to much bike to fast will do to you. I have scars and messed up knees to this day.

  6. No, you are the perfect size for a 125.
