Is abortion really liberating women or do they give up their right to produce children to please others?

Is producing children something that makes women wonderful or is it something that should be considered a burden for women because men get to just walk away and they still have to face the consequences of getting pregnant whatever their choice?

  1. i know a woman who had at least 12 abortions, because she didn't want kids, but didn't feel like going on birth control. the same woman "just walked away" from the one kid she did have. it's possible for women to walk away, same as men can.

but i think abortion is liberating for some women, but for others, it controls the rest of their life, thinking about the baby every single day.

  2. Your question is invalid. You are describing pregnancy as an obligation, not a right. A right is something you can choose to do, or choose not to do. Not something you MUST do.

Also, as a man, I say its complete bull for anyone to claim that "men can just walk away but women can't." The fact is women can "just walk away" same as any man. If you think that a women NEEDS a man's assistance in life your perpetuating the stereotype that keeps men in the workplace earning 25% more than women.

  3. I've found alot of guys just get stupid if one tells them their pregnant. So why tell? After a few abortions a woman runs the risk of being steril. So if they really want to liberate them selves have 'him' use a condom.Or say no.

  4. Hi.

What is abortion liberating women from? Responsibility? Too many people just sleep with someone and sometimes "accidents" happen and the woman gets pregnant. If she has an abortion it can be argued that she is "liberated" but the real victim the the unborn baby. What did it do to deserve to be deprived of it´s chances of becoming a functioning individual.

I think abortion should be a choice but too many are using it as a contraceptive.  People have to held accountable for what they do. Every day there are tens of thousands of abortion in the world. Is that OK? http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/fast...

I think some women view their role as a privilege while others do not. Too many women are trying to be like men and attempts like that are bound to end in on a sad note, it´s just a matter of time. Perhaps the worst/saddest part of this is that these same women are not even aware of how much they are trying to be like men :-(

Research is showing more and more how different the genders are. Unfortunatly too many start to interpret these results like kids in a sandbox (men are better or women are better . . . .)

  5. It isn't "liberating" women, it's "acquitting" them.

  6. what would abortion liberate you from other than your own irresponsibility if not being pregnant was a priority.  abortion is extensively damaging to thousands of young women and has killed 40 million people

  7. I think it's birth control, not abortion, that has liberated women by giving us the power to chose when we're ready to have children.
