  1. My youngest was sensitive to whole milk, at first. We put him on soy milk for about 9 months and it worked wonders. It's more expensive, of course, but he was getting milk, at least. Now he's on pediasure, due to poor growth (he's a former preemie with weight issues). I would talk to your pediatrician, they will probably recommend soy milk, though.

  2. I am unfamiliar with acidophilus milk.  I can tell you that lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic and is excellent for ridding signs of a yeast based diaper rash.  We have given the culturette capsels and given the lactobacillus acidophillus wafers.  L. acidophillus is in yogurt.

We did the lactose free milk and are still doing lactaid milk.  The whole milk caused smelly runny BM's, lots of gas, and rash.

Soy milk does not have much fat in it, and there are concerns about it because a high fat content is needed for brain development.  In addition, kids on soy don't grow as well, and are more likely to develop learning disabilities, IQ is lower.  I have never met any specialist that has not disproved of soy milk for toddlers.  This included neurologists, developmental pediatricians, developmental nurses, psychologists, ENT, GI, and allergy.

  3. How bout breastfeeding like you're supposed to.
