  1. Only you can define your happiness, just as only you can define what is moral.  The same can be said of how you choose to live your life, but the biggest determination for happiness is choice.

  2. No P.43 - §4 All truth--material, philosophic, or spiritual--is both beautiful and good. All real beauty--material art or spiritual symmetry--is both true and good. All genuine goodness--whether personal morality, social equity, or divine ministry--is equally true and beautiful. Health, sanity, and happiness are integrations of truth, beauty, and goodness as they are blended in human experience. Such levels of efficient living come about through the unification of energy systems, idea systems, and spirit systems.

  3. That all depends on your conscience. If you believe something is morally wrong can you really be happy about it?

  4. Apparently not considering the things the world is going through. It is not necessary for some people. Some people like seeing others in pain, and seeing them suffer, even if they're the ones causing it. That's not moral, but it could make someone happy for at least a short while.

Some people are happy while doing something rude, which isn't really moral.

It just depends on the individual really. While morals don't necessarily make me happy all the time, I do try to do the right thing quite often, just so it makes me feel a little better knowing that.

  6. not for one, but for all.

though, i believe that everybody acts as they believe is moral, the only difference is what people justify, what they think is right.

  7. Acting morally doesn't necessarily benefit the individual. It's more geared towards making society, this being said loosely, 'tolerable'. Happiness, in the moral sense, doesn't necessarily derive from 'acting morally'. Happiness, like most things in life, possesses a dualistic nature. It can be found acting immorally or morally. It's all just a matter of justification.

  8. only if it's in your world view that being moral is good.... if it's not wrong for you to be immoral than yes you can be happy!

  9. first you have to know what is your concept of happiness.also what is your concept of moral? answering this can help you answering your question.. hehe..

  10. Sure, acting according to your own moral beliefs is essential to happiness.  Of course, people have widely varying moral beliefs.

  11. your question didn't make much sense, but yes. if you have good morals you should be happy.

for example, if you say you won't do drugs, then you are bound to be more happy and not depressed from your battle with drugs!!!

    see what i mean!

    i hope that's what you meant. . . .

  12. You won't come to an answer about morality in general on yahoo. But I can tell you that living up to/within one's conscience greatly contributes to one's happiness.
