  1. Acupuncture is a big thing, where I live at least (Michigan, USA)

My whole family goes in for Acupuncture treatments. And contrary to the person who posted about, a LOT of people prefer alternative treatments to their "modern medicine" just about any day, baby cakes.

  2. Accupuncture is still considered "Alternative Medicine" in the United States.  However, of all "energywork", accupuncture is the most accepted by MD's and others in the traditional medical field.

But it is not mainstream, and insurance will rarely cover accupuncture treatments.  Typically, americans have to pay out of pocket, making it less available to those who have little or no extra cash to spend on these things.

A typical accupuncture session can range from $70-$100 per hour in the midwest.

  3. acupuncture came from china.

but anyway, in america, there are some people who do it, and some people don't. but acupuncture is not much of a fad, because americans rely on a more modern technology which could save their lives easier, (without having big needles inserintg in your body)

but many people around the world do this, as this is thought to have a great effect on stress and a cure to many illnesses

  4. no, it's used by simpled minded people all over the world.
