  1. vietfriedchicken4u, I've always purchased an extended auto warranty for every car I've owned in the last 10 years.  I used to get them from the dealer, but lately it's cheaper to get them from an aftermarket company that specializes in warranties. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Warranty... They offer free quotes, so it's easy to see how much one would cost for your car.

  2. Not illegal in Texas so long as it passes smog inspection, we are lucky in Arkansas because we dont have inspections.

If you turbo the car.. do NOT take it into the dealer for service with the turbo. Even if you take it in for something as simple as a radiator flush.. they will note the turbo in their log and you'll be screwed if you ever have to use the warranty.

That being said you could be sneaky. Put the turbo on and save all the OEM parts, have your service done at a regular shop and not at any dealer. Now if something goes wrong you can take off the turbo, replace the OEM parts and then take it to the dealer ; )

  3. Yes it will void the warranty and it is not illegal for you to ruin your  car with a turbo.
