As in they happen together when you work out, right? I'm pretty much a dumbass when it comes to this stuff..though I'm interested in learning more about it.

Does the muscle gain by taking your fat and transforming it into muscle somehow? Isn't that how fatasses that work out like crazy end up being super muscular?

  1. i have no clue but i need to do both. loose fat and get muscle.

im sure building muscles helps with losing fat though.

  2. well, you don't exactly turn fat into muscle...you lose fat and gain muscle...cardio exercises are for burning fat...your body will burn a lot of calories, some of them coming from fat stores on your body...but, you have to gain muscle...that is the purpose of strength training...lifting weights will build muscle...that's why it's important to do your cardio routine plus lift weights...your body will burn some fat during cardio, and it will build muscle through the weights...also, that's the reason why sometimes our appearance improves a lot but we haven't really lost weight: we replace the fat with muscle, so the weight stays the same, but  you have muscle in many places where you used to have fat...

  3. Also note that when you gain muscle, your metobolism increases so you can eat more and gain less fat then you would if you were not working out.

  4. no..

Fat doesn't get "transformed" into muscle, it just is burned and replaced with muscle. A lot of it depends on your body type but generally speaking, a really skinny person will have a lot more difficulty putting on muscle, since he has no fat to burn when working out. Fat people have plenty of fuel to burn. Most people who work out like crazy will get muscular, although not everyone can really get "super muscular".

  5. Weight training gains muscle and burns fat.

Cardio workouts are simply workouts that get your pulse up.

Weight training will get your pulse up and get you sweating the same way cardio does.

  6. Well not really. loosing fat and gaining muscle are both related to working out but they are not the same thing.

fat is, well fat and it adds up if you are eating unhealthily and not exercising, but can be lost by like walking and running ect. muscle can be gained if you do resitance training (weights & gym stuff)

but remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you are watching your scales dont do much resistance or gym work. stick to walking or jogging or running.

soo muscle is not gained by taking fat and transforming it, they are to completely different substances. And the "fatasses" who work out and end up real muscular normally combind a resistance or gyn training session with exrta runnning and jogging stuff. to first loose they fat and then too gain the muscle..

    ok

i hope this helps you out, ohh and by the way if you are interested in this sort of stuff you should try studying it.

    lol

    ok bye

  7. you can loose weight without gaining a lot of muscle like walking, it will build muscle in your legs but not a massive amount but you will still loose weight. the fat isn't transforming into muscle, the muscle grows as the fat is burned off

  8. Well yes, and no. Working out can build muscle, and cause you to burn fat. But they arent the same thing, more like one is a product of the other.
