I think the name was given to many new born babies when Adolf first came into power, however when he showed his true colours many people changed their names. I don't think anyone uses it anymore

It is still used , but considered to be an older name.  Similar to Doug or Henry in the UK.  Obviously it has political concerns, but  Hitler was born in Austria anyway, so has perhaps less of a stigma due to that.

I would imagine there have been very few babies given the name Adolf since the end of WW2.

The question I wonder is how many people have the last name Hitler?  Wouldn't that be even worse?  people may think you are related by blood to that devil.

The problem with last names is you are born with them.  First names can be chosen.  

If my last name happened to be Hitler, I think that I would change it.

Can you imagine a Hitler living in Israel?  They probably do.

Wouldn't think so, bad choice, too many bad associations. There might be some old people still with the name, if they havn't changed it!
