Is adoption possible for a single parent ?

I am 30yrs old.I have a son aged 10.I always longed to have a girl child which now is not possible as I am a single parent.Can I adopt a girl child.I have the ability and patience to take care of another child and above all I have the love and longing for a girl child.

You did not specifically mention an infant, so I'm thinking you may be interested in adopting through foster care. Yes, single parents can adopt through foster care in the U.S. (I don't know about other countries because I live in the U.S.)

There are lot of people like Sushmita sen the great actress has adopted a girl child.

As you already have a boy of ten years old i would like to tell you that take extreme caution before taking adoption.

Yes, ofcourse you can.

You have to go through all the hoops as any couple would.  Nothing different.  

It could be a long emotional rollercoaster ride, but if that's whats in your heart- go for it.  :-)

It is easier for married couples to adopt childen, but it definently is possible for you to adopt. I would talk to a social worker and see what they have to say.

Single parent can adopt of-course.

You have already have a child, and

your reason for adoption does not

sound  alright.

The adoption centres have their rules &

reasons. If you fit in that and  have

satisfactory  answers for them you

might  get  to adopt. What garentee is

there  tomorrow you will  not make the

child  as your  maid servent.

Yes single parents are alot more common now than back in the day.I know a couple of women who have adopted.Best bet though is to try to go through dss. and foster a child for a while and get the services thought them so it will be a little easier on you.

Yes, you can adopt as a single parent.  Not all agencies and international programs will work with you, so you do have to search around.
