Is age starting to affect Vijay's putting?

He is 4th in Green In Regulation, but 74th in putting.

He had 32 putts today on his home course. He hit two balls into the water and shot +3. His swing looks good, but the putting seems to get to destabilize even the full swing.

Is it age? He's 46 and at that age putting often goes?

  1. It has nothing to do with age.  He has been a inconsistent putter for his entire career.  He has changed putters many times and nothing seems to work.  He goes from the long putter back to the short putter over and over again.  I think it is a mental problem.  he does not have any confidence.

  2. Vijay has never been the great putter. He did, however, put together a year with 9 victories, player of the year, and he putted like a fool. Age has nothing to do with his putting. It is confidence and his ever changing clubs is a result of that. If he would only stick with the club which feels best to him, there would be a great improvement knowing he must work on the stroke. A good mechanic never blames his tools. Once Vijay gets that through his head, his improvement will be dramatic.

  3. Putting is about touch & feel. Some days you have it, some days you don't. Sure he's 46, but I think it's more mental than anything.
