In simple terms no, it's not, between earth and space there is different types of components if you please, for example, it's like asking if gravitation exists...it does, just not in space, because somewhere along the line, gravitation disintergrates if you like.

No.  All the stuff that air is made out of is detectable when it's in space.  Dark matter is not.
