  1. It's regular tap water from the city, that's all. Unless you are somewhere with really bad water, the tap is safe enough to drink.

  2. I can only speak for the water at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and yes it's clean and good.

What I do when I fly is to take a water bottle onto the airplane and get it filled up with ice & water or juice and on long 7+ hour flights I'll drink a couple full bottles of water and then use the same water bottle for a mixed drink or instead of just water fill it up with orange juice & ice.

I just flew back from Europe and I had three beers and a double Vodka & Orange Juice and felt fine.  Just remember between each alcoholic drink a water bottle full of water or juice.  Needless to say I was hydrated throughout the flights and did not really experience jet lag.

Remember when you fly you get exstremely dehydrated and when you drink alcohol you get even more dehydrated. Plus, when your drinking at 33,000 feet your one beer will give you the effect of 2-3 beers.

  3. Tap water in the USA is perfectly safe. It MUST meet strict government guidelines.

I wouldn't worry about the airport water unless it's not from a tap.

  4. All municipal water supply meets safety standards.  They don't have to be filter as they are already purified (filtered) at the  water plant.

But some people still think they are not safe.  Go figure

    Good Luck...
