  1. He would have retired by then

  2. What are you on about? He's an awful manager hes only won 10 primier leagues!

  3. It ain't gonna happen.  The Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish FAs will all oppose a unified "Team GB" which will leave England to go it alone, assuming they get permission, which is unlikely.  Alex Ferguson would be a good choice, but he's already 66 (67 in December) and will surely be too old when 2012 does roll around.  The only positive is that the Scots FA might back a Scottish manager of the GB team, so if they appoint Fergie the idea might get back on track.  Even so, the squad is bound to be disproportianately English, and the Welsh, Scots and Irish are bound to object over that.  What can you do except agree to field at least two players from each country in a match?  Off-the-field politics will scupper this idea before it even begins, and I'm not sure we're good enough for a medal in any case, home advantage or not.

  4. or he will die of sun burn, our manager doesnt have to be british though so we arent limited to alex ferguson

  5. nah he'll be too old by then.  david moyes would be better

  6. I hate football. It's full of overpaid chavs who care more about being celebs with their tarty orange girlfriends, than being sports people. Even though I'm proud to be English, I was glad they didn't get into Europe, as I wouldn't be able to buy a woman's magazine without beckham's wife milking it for all the attention seeking she could, and I'm fed up with having to see her ugly orange pig nosed face as it is.

The olympics seemed like a new start to me, as it had none of the horrible things associated with football.

  7. Sir Alex doesn't want the job and even if he did Scotland, Wales and NI FA aren't going for it, so it is very unlikely to happen.

Glasgow is hosting the football, a GB team with no Jocks in it will be really well supported - like booed.

Harry Redknapp actually wants the job and he has the C.V. but I don't think it will happen. Unless they dig up George Best, Ireland won't have a player in the team and we might as well not bother if we don't pick the best 11.
