  1. I don't think that everything has been explored. There was that hoax recently about a Brazilian lost tribe, but it wasn't totally dismissed right away.  Plus the recent discovery of the group of lowland gorillas indicates that we don't know everything about every corner of the world.

  2. Yes there are.

The Brazilian government is still finding tribes in the Amazon that have never had contact with the outside world.   One in fact was reported only last year in the world news.   Usually these tribes have to continue to be quarantined from the rest of the world so they are not wiped out from modern diseases which they have no immunity for.

Other places that still have unexplored territory are parts of Papua New Guinea, Borneo in Indonesia possibly some of the more remote parts of Siberia.

  3. The few remaining areas include the northern forests of Alaska, Canada and Russia; the high plateaus of Tibet and Mongolia; and much of the Amazon River Basin. Humans now occupy 83% of the land and the remaining 17% must be uninhabitable.

Depending on the definition of "explore", I would guess less than 5% of the Earth's land has not been explored.
