I used to do Tae Kwon Do and Jiu-Jitsu. Back in 1996, UFC was getting attention because it was no holds barred. While it was new, it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to watch. Now that the rules have be tamed to be community friendly, I see all this hype around it that it's so popular.

What???! I don't know anyone that cares about UFC or MMA. Even when I was doing it, I found it really boring to watch.

Arena football is another sport that is full of artificial hype. Last year, ESPN promoted Arena Football like it was the next big thing. Now, you'd be hard-pressed to find a game on TV! I watched a local Arena Football game in person...football isn't meant to be played like that, seriously. It's boring.

  1. well i like UFC i find it really interesting.... the only thing i dont like watching is the UFC reality show thing were they live in the house together ... it makes it seem more like vh1 reality tv instead of an actual sport....

  2. nope, no one likes it, thats why its the fastest growing sport in america, because it sucks. oh, an mma has been around for centuries, the only reason it's new in america is because it's finally legal. go watch pro wrestling you lame

  3. The whole UFC c**p is boring. Mainly because MMA doesn't take any skill compared to a real martial art like TKD. These mma fighters get into the ring, throw a few standing kicks and punches, then they almost always go to the ground and start throwing knees and elbows. I dont find it entertaining when I can go to a bar, and find the same kind of fighting between two drunken idiots that i see on tv.

It is getting popular, however, it will soon die out, just like boxing. Throughout the period of 1940- 1980, boxing was huge, but now, its something that no one cares about. UFC will die out in the next ten years when something new has piqued the public's interest.
