I find the grunting and groaning and shrieking by the tennis players today is irritating to the point that I watch on TV with no sound...of course then I lose the great commentary ...is this yelling really such a boost to a performance? If banned then no player would have any advantage and tennis would be more pleasant to watch. Anyone agree with me?

  1. I agree with you to an extent, and even though some players have more annoying grunts than others, for me, it gets annoying when a player does it on every single point, right from the first point, of the first game, of the match. That's when it becomes irritating for me. But when it's in the pressure points of a match, then the constant yelling and screaming just makes that point soo much more intense and fun to watch. It's like you just want to laugh out loud at how intense and serious both players are taking that one particular point. It's fun!!! LOL

  2. To an extent, yes, it is annoying. Try watching womens saber though. Now that's is annoying.

  3. Hey come on ur only thinking of the sound effect....

Bt think abt the players who putting so much effort 4 each point,& its very natural, more than intentional effort its the hormone secretion & the power pressure--that make them do so....

So next time when watching plzzz b a lil bit more sympathetic....

  4. Dude, it's just the intensity and adrenaline coming out of the players. It's how they release their frustration. If you don't like it, don't watch.

  5. they just grunt to get more power from their swing

i actually think it's funny to watch and make fun of their grunts ha
