  1. It's always easier to GET a job when you HAVE a job.

If you are out of work, employers know you are desperate.  They fear you will hire on, then quit as soon as you find something better.

If you HAVE a job, they know you are looking for something better, and they have more reason to believe you will stay.

Don't quit.  Find a job first.  You may have to give up a social life for a few weeks while you look.

Another tip:  Don't apply to just one job at a time, then wait to find out if you got it.  Apply to as many places as you can.

Since you HAVE a job, do more homework on prospective employers before you even apply.  Try to find out more about how it is to work there.

  2. Make sure you get a new job and then quit.

  3. Well, what you can do in the menatime is compile a resume and start sending your resume out to different companies....Im sure youll get some interviews and then if you get a callback for one of those jobs, you can resign from your current position.  In the meantime, dont quit your current job or that will make things worse.

  4. Employers would rather Interview people who already have a job - as they already have an idea of how to behave and what is expected of them in a particular job.
