Is alright to swallow mouthwash.a bit?

well,when i swish the stuff in my mouth for like 30sec or a 1 min,im guessing we all swallow a bit right?it wont be harmful a bit?

Relax, it's alright. Besides, I doubt the organisation which oversees all these product safety issues would allow it to be sold if it was THAT dangerous as to kill someone when they happen to swallow it.

No....it's not harmful.  It can't be or there would be alot of sick people...... I wouldn't drink a bottle of it though.

a small amount isnt going to hurt you, just be careful not to swallow to much because then it can hurt you and/or make you drunk being 23% alcohol by volume

As long as you're using it according to directions, you'll be fine. Get an alcohol-free mouthwash, if you haven't already. Alcohol dries out your mouth.

Pen Press, you're talking only about mouthwash with alochol in it, aren't you?

but make sure you dont do it on purpose! that would be silly!

Accidental swallowing of a little bit of the mouth wash should be fine. But it may get worse in the following case:

If you keep on swallowing in empty stomach as a routine. It may erode the lining of the stomach and cause nausea. That will be more pronounced with undiluted mouth wash.

That is because mouth washes typically contain almost 33% alcohol.

For the same reason you should ALWAYS dilute the mouth wash before each use and SHOULD NOT use mouth wash more than 2-3 times a day.

Too much usage of mouthwash that has not been diluted can cause oral cancer even if you do not swallow the product too much. You can imagine what swallowing of undiluted product can do to your stomach and esophagus over a longer period of time.
